Skid plates for the slammed...

Has anyone looked into this for these? Primarily to protect the oil pan?

in for an answer

hrm... good thoughts. I'd see if G&M, Grimmspeed, or MSA can fab something up for us. It might be something the community would love... a slight lip in front that continue back to protect the oil pan.

Honestly, there are some ridiculously low Genesis Coupes (Alex, Jon Jon, etc) and I haven't heard of anyone damaging the pan.

Well, now that I say that, a New Jersey member who ISN'T lowered just damaged his driving around campus. :Unsure2:

If someone can fab it up, would love to keep it an HA exclusive since the idea originated here.

I'm interested in this. We're really busy right now so don't know if we'd be able to make something right away, but I'll pull my car into the shop next week and see what even would be possible to do down there.

I've also wanted for a long time to have a full under-body tray done for the car so maybe this could be the kick-start to that product...

Would also be good to have something protecting the diff.

Maybe something to just replace the plastic underneath, and go further back.

Yup, that's what I've been thinking. Just got to figure out where to mount it, what material to use, and if possible a way to not have it block the oil filter and drain plug. I wouldn't want to have to unbolt it every time I need to change the oil.

1/4 or 1/2 turn fasteners on removable plates like access panels on airplanes
