Weird...you dont see any tire marks or anything on the road or grass showing they hit the brakes before the impact. Wonder if they just werent paying attention and ran directly in the tree. Maybe texting while driving?

 

There's a great story locally about Genesis' and trees. This kid showed up to a car meet in a brand new Gen and decided to drift around the parking lot. He ended up hitting a tree and totaling it. Everyone crowded around him and got videos/pictures. He then called his parents and the cops. The parents showed up first. The mom lied to the the cop and said that SHE was driving and one of the cars from the meet was drifting and caused her to hit the tree. She almost got away with it until a couple people from the meet overheard the statements, pulled the cop aside, and showed him the video. Cop went back to the mother and kid and asked them if they'd like to change their story.



Unfortunately, this story is known everywhere locally and every Gen owner gets sh*t for it. "Drift into a tree lately?" "Tree bait"

 

Probably was some kid showing off trying to drift Thats why my insurance premiums are so damn high.
