I noticed a few no name kits on ebay for like $80. What's the difference between a high end intake kit and a cheap one?

Cold air intake is better than Short ram intake. Some short intakes for the Genesis have heat shields or are designed to utilize the benefits of the air snorkel integrated into the front grill.

If all you want is a short pipe to remove any airbox restrictions, then price doesn't matter. It's just a short tube. If you want a CAI, generic intakes may not fit adequately. The first gen AEM/Injen CAI included a replacement washer fluid reservoir since the OEM blocked the area for CAI fitment.

step 1: buy clone of expensive super high dollar intake

step 2: buy quality air filter

step 3: install and laugh at those who basically paid $200 more for a pipe

step 4: do donuts

knockoff + good filter (btw, spectre is a good, cheap filter) will give you the same performance gains as a 250$ Injen intake..

This is basically one of my biggest sellers in the VTurbo community since I charge about half of what the big guys are charging.

My air filter cost more than the intake. Got the intake on ebay for $7 and bought a legit K&N air filter for $30. $37 in total and I have the same level of performance as the the intakes that $100-200.
