Immobilizer keys
 

Do the gen coupes have immobilizer keys? The ones with the microchip built in. If they do, how do you get spare keys made? Do you have to go to the dealer for them?

The base model Genesis has a key to start the ignition. Other packages include a push button start, so the key fob simply needs to be inside the car for it to start. I don't believe the regular key has an immobilizer.



Sometimes you can buy immobilizer keys online, or on eBay, and have dealerships program them for you and cut them.
