I think it might be time for a new battery

Twice this week I've had to jump my car in the morning because the battery was dead. I didnt leave any lights on and the battery is the original one from Hyundai. So it's 8 years old. How old are your batteries and does anyone have one thats as old as mine or older and it still starts your car fine? I can pick up a Diehard for around a hundred bucks. That will get me covered for at least another 4 or 5 years I think.

8 years is outstanding service for a regular car's starting battery. That is a *very* long life, and as you can tell it has outlived its usefulness.

I always get a good battery for my cars because I keep the cars forever and I hate having to depend on someone else being around for a jump start. Regardless, don't get the absolute cheapest battery you can, unless you just like replacing batteries.

My genesis gave me one slow start/crank before the battery died... 4 years ago. It was a 2010 as well. That is some hella good battery life for stock. Get what fits in the stupid box thing.
