To me, it seems like every time a new model comes out, a ton of companies spring up that are shady and take advantage of members. But SFR and IS have been around quite a long time and they have been screwing people over constantly. It started with the RD Tib crowd, then moved to the GK crowd, and now they're hitting up the GC people.



And another thing...these shady vendors screwed people over on NT and that forum allowed the vendors to get away with it too because they were paid vendors on the forum.



Its the same everywhere you go....these forums only care about the money, like visionz said in his blog post. They have no desire to help the community, but they sit there and post about how they are all about helping owners. Thats a total lie and complete bullshit because any forum owner that wanted to help the members would not allow these vendors to get away with the things they are doing. I think the paying vendors at GC should leave and just come here. By taking money out of these forums pockets will hopefully force them to actually change.

Sup! Just bailed on gencoupe.com myself. Was never a real prolific poster on that site, not the kind of community I'm after. I love my GC but it's not my only hobby, nor my life. Next year I will be taking my ride to the track for the 1st time ever, stoked about that and adding a few mods as well. I can really care less for the way members, and specifically some vendors, treat each other over on Gencoupe.com. Hoping this site is different, which I'm sure it is.

Im from GenCoupe and called it quits over there. I decided that instead of asking them to delete my account, I would just forever lose my log in and never go back. I got sick of the moderators taking vendor sides and everyone on facebook is giving this forum lots of praise. I registered and truly love what I see so far. Never going back to that god awful place and will start making this my place to be.

 

Im from gen coupe too and could care less what they do with my account. Its really bad when an online forum can give you anxiety from wanting to make a topic out of fear that the members and moderators will yell at you or make you feel unwelcome.

 

No need to worry about that here.

 

^This. I can't tell you many times I had to restrain myself from punching my monitor because someone said something asinine/snarky/immature in response to an OP. It's like they're trying to pick an internet fight just for the hell of it. Like they have nothing better to do. Sure I make some lame, immature jokes but I don't try and pick fights with people. I don't try to make others feel bad. How insecure with yourself do you have to be to be pulling that sh*t -ONLINE-?



Anywhoo, people around here have been hella cool and chill to me so I'm definitely sticking around
