There isn't a ton of Genesis Coupe model specific information that the members here can't answer. There are more member experiences documented there, but I got more information from Facebook than I did from GenCoupe.

We have several modified Genesis owners here with knowledgeable owners. Just sayin'

Theres more members here that know Hyundai engines, tranny's, and suspension like the back of their hand, than Gen Coupe or any other forum will ever have. The true in depth knowledge of internals, tuning, and building the car to its absolute best potential will always be on Hyundai Aftermarket. That has been proven more times than I or any other member who has been apart of the community longer than 5 years, can count.

^ This!

Even when I owned my Tiburon, it was known through out the scene that if anybody wanted to know advanced modifications about their car, then this was the site to be at. You put the top 10 people at Gen Coupe up against the top 10 members here and have a battle of the wits, and Hyundai Aftermarket will completely DESTROY anything that Gen Coupe can come up with. I've seen this with my own eyes a few different times with members here against the so called experts at NT and even at CH.

This is just my opinion, and I hate gencoupe just as much as most of you but Gen Coupe seems like the place to go for the noobies who dont know anything about their car and Hyundai Aftermarket is the place where people who want to go to the next level or step come to. I have seen ALOT of false information posted on gencoupe or people who post and are unsure of the information being posted is 100% true.

Like I said.

Things are being greatly exaggerated. I for one, prefer both sites. I like that you can talk to people here in the shoutbox. But, if I'm trying to learn something Gen Coupe specific Gencoupe.com has the most info...thats a fact.

To rephrase:

I believe both Gencoupe and HA are great sites. However, I also believe Gencoupe currently has the upper hand when it comes to knowledge on that specific platform. Not that this site won't acquire the information for that specific platform, I'm just not sure that it will, in fact, happen. Did I make myself clear? I'm pro-Gencoupe, and pro-HA, I just doubt HAs knowledge base (and the acquisition of said) on a specific platform. I'm not saying it won't happen.

^ What you're failing to understand is that when people want to understand tuning, or turbos, or internal work, or balancing & blueprinting, or how suspensions work, or external paint work, or improving race times, etc....then people will come to this site for that in-depth information.

Gen Coupe will have the DIY's and general info stuff but the advanced non model stuff will be on this forum.

I'm sorry...but I feel like I'm not being understood. I understand what's on this site... I understand it's been running for 10 something years.

I'm saying the model specific, Gen Coupe information is largely at Gencoupe, as of right now.

I don't understand what y'all aren't getting...

I think I understand you completely, I just don't agree.

I think there's tons of information at GenCoupe, but the knowledge of many of the members providing information is questionable. I don't agree with it all (not that I do here). I trust the quality of the information at HA a little more, maybe it's because I know that so many of the members here have been around a while. Our members have broken down the ECU wiring to support the A/T to M/T conversion on prior models, many have setup and tuned their non-factory turbo cars with large turbo setups beating 99% of the Genesis out there, breaking into the 12s.

While there is more information and more Genesis owners at GenCoupe, I believe there are very few questions that you could ask here that wouldn't be answered. I believe we have quite an extensive knowledge base with the Genesis Coupe among our members. I don't feel GenCoupe has a leg up on us, they just have more threads because of vendors bumping 20+ threads daily.

Majik Man, I'm picking up what you're putting down. But, for now, I shall agree to disagree.

Edit- Oh, and I completely ignore the vendor threads. "Birds gotta swim, fish gotta eat." (Yes, that's on porpoise.)
