I don't watch drag racing at all. Far as I'm concerned, it requires about as much skill as, well, driving in a straight line. I do watch Touring Car, GRC, WRC and MotoGP. I also race mine. I spank RWD cars with over 500whp. FWD cars rarely even come to the track. The ones that do are gutted tin cans that weigh half what they did stock, make 300whp and barely keep up with me. Really, the only cars I compete with are STI's, other Evo's and GTR's with 600+ whp (they're a bit heavy).
Hahahah you can't beat 300whp FWD cars , but you compete with 600whp GTRs
So as most of you like to ask for pics, dyno graph and videos ... where is your onboard beating 500whp and 600whp GTRs

Haha fake vents yes. Yet, other cars have fake vents like that old 5.0 Mustang GT you mentioned earlier.
Also I drive a 2006 Mazda 3 speed. So I really like the big open front end cars. The GC, Mazda 3, and the Ford Focus ST all catch my eye.
Love it or hate it.

What, Challengers? If you put 500whp in a 240sx, FRS, Genesis, or any other RWD import, it's going to spank you. I'd even bet a Mustang would also.

Two friends of mine have full interior in their 600hp Civic and Integra. They compete in FIS class which requires streetcars with full interior. Do you run 9's? Well, they do. Post your slip and show how fast your AWD beast is.
BTW, they also competed at your track in Vegas and won. Guess you didn't show up that day.

The 300whp FWD cars I can't beat are gutted track-only trailer queens. I actually do have video, but I need to edit it down. It's got a lot of long boring parts with no traffic. The camera faces the rear and you can see the GTR catching me on the straights and falling behind in the corners. He makes 600 whp. He's on E85 with bigger turbos and bolt-ons. I also have the dyno showing I make 364whp and 365tq on E85, bolt-ons and stock turbo and intercooler.

Are you STILL talking about drag racing? I haven't been to a dragstrip since 2006 and that was only once. Drag racing is for fast cars, roadracing is for fast drivers.
You're missing the point anyways. The point is that a Gen Coupe with a few bolt-ons will be as fast as a Z for the same or less money. I have no idea how you guys turned this into a "well if I stick a rocket in my trunk, I'll beat all of you" thread. I mean, if anyone actually want to come to my house with the fastest car you can get your hands on, let's do it.
um....
you did
give me a 1990 miata and 30 grand and we shall see who's quicker in the quarter mile and road course.
See sig for opinion on GC
welcome back tyson.
As I see on your signiture 08' Evo track slut ?! This means its for track days right
I'm sure you know this ,but let me tell you that if you put a good driver in this GTR it will spank you everywhere! Corners and straights
It's not your fault though and you are absolutely right that it's the driver not the car that is important.
There is no way GC with a few bolt ons that will be as fast as 370z !!! You saw the clip that turburon_99 posted? 310whp and 13.8 ... that car is sloooow.

I made a direct comparison between the two cars being discussed. If we're gonna build fictional stuff, I'll take one of the '90's Formula 1 cars I see on eBay every now and then. Then I'll update it slightly. Game, set, match.

I also posted a clip of a bolted and tuned GC running down a Mod'd 370 Nismo.

Also, what other SUB 25K dollar car will run a 13 second 1/4. BRZ, FRS, Or NC Miata? In my book I feel that these cars are more closely related to the class of car that the GC operates in. I feel the 370 is more comparable to the Mustang/Camaro class around 35k.
