Default Braking or downshift (engine braking)?

As the title says, I'm just curious how many people (if any) uses engine braking over normal braking. Talked about it a little and kinda curious as to how to do it properly w/o destroying your clutch. Kinda been messing around with it. Don't wana break anything though...

Won't hurt the clutch anymore than normal shifting. I seldom use brakes myself. It also will get you a lot better gas mileage to do the engine braking.

Engine braking is best braking.

If you wanna save fuel, engine brake like usual

If you wanna save the clutch and be silky smooth, get good at rev matching

If you are a f*ck, use neither and lay on your brakes
