Default Benefits of an LS swap

Just wondering what the benefits are of doing an LS swap other than being unique. To me it seems like it would be alot of work and more money compared to just upgrading the stock turbo set up in a 2.0. It makes sense for the 3.8 guys since they dont have much for aftermarket engine performance. But why would a 2.0 guy do it?

Instant torque, and lots of it. With stock reliability.

Plus with forced induction it is basically capable of making as much power as you are likely to want.
