Anyway to make the factory intercooler better?

On really hot days my intercooler gets heat soaked easily and it feels like I have hardly any boost. Is there anything that can be done to make the factory intercooler better so it doesnt get heat soaked so easily and is more efficient?
You could try a home made IC sprayer or get one of those cryo kits

SCC Magazine did a tech story about intercooler sprayers years ago. Basically, they said you're always better off spraying water in the intake pipe (water injection) rather than on the intercooler. Only reason why WRC cars use sprayers is because they're not allowed to spray into the motor.

Read my post above yours. Why does Mitsu build the Evo? For WRC. They include it on the street cars because kids like huge wings. But hey, you probably know more about it than Dave Coleman, who wrote the Technobabble article about it.
