Anyone know if Infinity rims will fit on a Genesis?

Seriously, how people calculate tire size and fittment is beyond me. Can someone please explain that to me?

There's nothing too complex about it. It really helps to know what your stock wheel and tire size is.

Tire size:

Multiply the wheel width by ~2.5 to get tire size. The profile you need can be figured out with plenty of online calculators. Input your old wheel and tire specs, input your new wheel and tire specs, and it will tell you whether the rolling diameter is off.

Fitment

Get a tape measure, and measure how much room you have between wheel-n-guard (over the whole range of suspension and steering movement), and between wheel-n-strut. It's super simple from there. Adding wider wheels will evenly reduce both of those dimensions. Increasing the offset will move the wheel toward the strut. Lowering the offset will move the wheel toward the guard.

If you measure what you already have, and you know what the specs (width, diameter, tire size and offset) are, then it's a very straightforward process to pick new wheels. But only if you promise me not to change the offset.

Thank you, but I can make no such promise. Tiburon rear wheels are woefully inside their own rear fenders, offset must be changed.... ftw.
