Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. i had mine custom made from a sticker / vinyl shop.

what they did was to take a metal plate and emboss the sticker template onto the plate.

do note that what i had made is a "temporary" plate used in korea thus having those 2 red strips across the main number. i had to modify the numbers into something relevant to me and still adhere to the korean plate's system. dates i put: upper left, my GF's bday. lower left, date i got the tib. main numbers, my bday arranged to still reflect proper korean car classification (starting number is 10, denoting a passenger car and coincidentally, my bday month hehe)

This is what i had copied. source site.

i had to reference wikipedia's korean license plate page to make the numbers i used for the main numbers relevant.

theoretically, you could make your own. print one using photo paper and laminate it. cheap but inventive.

I tried to get some of those plates to bring back with me. It seems they have some pretty strict laws on what happens with those plates, real ones anyway.
