So I need to replace my oil pan soon (after the winter, too cold now). But I want to order the parts soon and I am a bit confused.



The manufacturer for this oil pan (doubled checked on 2 other sites) lists says it's for Accents from 95-04

And the oil pan gasket that fits is also only listed up to 04 (again, by the manufacturer)

Is there something different about the 05 (LC2) oil pan or is this just a mistake?

 

Hyundai don't use gasket in the oil pan!

 

So the gasket they're selling is not actually necessary?

 

Yes, just make one with grey silicon.

 

Cast aluminum pans don't use gaskets but the silicone adhesive.
