Hi, i just bought accent 2002 GS, 1.6 DOHC, and i was wondering what can i do to the car to pull out little bit more ponies out of it....and if you can post direct links to DIY stuff, because i am not getting around the forum bery good....not realy computer geek..smile.gif

I am waiting for CAI and catback, i am sure there is more add ons, and bolt ons for the engine and the car itself, so please help me out...thank you very much....

What are your HP goals?

No sense putting on a exhaust if you're going to go the turbo route anyway.

The ebay CAI for a 99 non-turbo Eclipse also fits on the Accent.

Yeah, I guy named JRM made and sells the phenolic spacers. I have one on my car. I can put you in touch with him if you're interested. Last I saw it was $55 shipped.

What else i would like to know what parts from other cars fit on my accent, without demaging enything, like the 187sks said, eclipse CAI fits, non turbo one, if there is enything else that you know thats from other cars that fits, wouldnt hurt, right....

I just moved to another province so i have nobody to contact about stuff like this, you guys are the only source at the moment...and you are doing great job...thank you very...and plus i am new to HYUNDAI in general....been dealing with mustangs and V-DUBS most of my life...i know there is not much difference, mustang VW, Hyundai or enything else, car is a car, all the engines work the same way, all the exhoust work the same way, i just cant figure out where to get parts for my accent thats why i have to ask here, not meny people knows this stuff localy....so again thank you very much, if i need enything else, i will ask you guys....smile.gif))

 

You could also do a Beta swap too. Find a junked tib that has low miles on it, take the engine, and ECU right out of it, and drop it directly in your accent. That will give you some really good power, plus theres alot of aftermarket parts available for the beta (tib) engines. smile.gif

I have seen it all over the forum, no idea what that means....i was wondering to do something like that, drope in tibby engine, or maybe 1994 Impreza 1.8, FWD, needs some extra fabrication to do that stunt, i am aware of that, but i seen it localy, a guy did the swap, and went turbo later on, pretty imprsive i can tell..smile.gif)

I did few V=DUB swaps, VR6, 1.8T, and such, that are prety stright forward, no fabrication what so ever, drop-in pretty much...

I would like to know more about this tibby swap, any pics, how its done, enything to be aware off, every usfull coment is more then welcome...
