Temp reading

My temps won't rise off cold. I replaced thermostat and temp sender sensor and also checked wires. Any ideas what it could be? It's a 2000 tiburon.

Could it be the gauge or needle itself? Have you recently removed your gauges or dash for any reason? Does it move any at all, even a tiny bit?

No it doesn't move at all and the fan kicks on so I know it's not over heating. I haven't removed the gauges or dash or anything. I guess the gauge could be bad.

Get a mode $01 scan to check the temperature. If that is good, verify continuity on the sender unit. And record the ohm readings. Specs are available at hmaservice.com. If the sender is plugged in, and it reads well, and the temperature is correct per mode $01 scan, then the gauge is bad.

I'd say it's probly disconnected at the sender.

I will check continuity @ sender and post back.
