Ever since I installed my Shark Racing short shifter it has rattled and vibrated at hight revs - aside from driving around below 4000rpm I haven't been able to fix the problem.

I have tried wrapping bubble-wrap around the gear linkages (the sheathed part) and putting tape on the pin that hold the gear cable onto the short shifter as it was a bit loose after the installation.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this problem and what they did to fix it.

Yes, me too. Just thought I had a lose bolt or something..i can hold it to the right and it's quiet. Normal (any gear) position..and i get a little vibration noise..kinda bothersome..if i didnt have the music on all the time.

 

I think I have managed to fix it! I cut a piece of rubber hose. I pulled the forward/backward gear cable of the SS and pushed on the little piece of hose, then reassembled it - no more vibration! smile.gif
