Default Help With Cams

I'm just about to order the RPW racing cams. But after reading your posts which state that the cams in the 1.8l engine is better than in the 2.0l, I am having second thoughts. How much more lift will it provide and how many horsepower gains and torque can I expect? Is it worth it for me to order the RPW cams?

P/s: I have a 1996 1.8l Hyundai Coupe

nobody has dynoed RPW cams... so i cant tell you how much hp youl get out of them

as for the lift... ask them... they should know

email customerservice@sharkracing... they distribute for them

BTW... depending on how aggressive the cams are, you might need to get them tuned
An safc should remedy that

RPW Cam specs are on SharkRacing's website.

Can't recall the elantra cam specs offhand, but it says a bit about the difference from the 2.0 tib on Sharkracing, here. You may turn up something in a search of this forum.

The more power you get out of the cam...the less driveability will result. Also if you ever plan on going forced induction (turbo in particular) then don't bother, save the money up because you cannot use N/A Cams after doing so...and if you do...i believe its not worth it...or something around in that area.
