frustrated and pissed rant

so i was working on the tib today which currently has a headlight fuse blown(ive been riding around with my hi beams on at night) and i figured there would be a fuse puller in the fuse box like it said in the manual and of course there was not so i have to buy one.
I was also trying to replace the dome light bulbs, im not sure if its the fuse or the bulbs, so since i do not have a fuse puller i tried to switch the bulbs- of course i cant get out the sunrglasses holder and dome light piece..how do i do that? i took out the two screws and saw the clip furthest from the dash but i did want to just rip it out so i left it be.
i wanted to offset my front license plate because i hate having it on in the first place- im going to go off on a rant for a second- i live in a rich town where everyone and their mother donates to the police department so everyone has a fob shield. the cops are pretty limited in pulling people over because half of the town is either well of in donating to them or blood related to them so i feel like the target the smallest things. For example getting pulled over yesterday for having white blinkers. But i feel like this isnt only happening in my town- for example i got pulled over while staying at my shore house for tinted tails and ended up with 5 tickets. i feel like it could be the tib thats attracting all of this unwanted attention- for example one time i got pulled over and right off the bat asked how many speeding tickets and points i had(little did the cop know its a 4 cyl) but anyway getting back to the real topic i hate having my front plate on because next to no one in my town has it on and i feel like itll just be another ticket when they pull me over to check my car and what not so i wanted to offset the plate and keep it on with zipties little did i know the zip ties werent long enough to reach the grill so that plan failed
my back plate has a stripped bolt and i want to take it off to put a visor on. This bolt will be the death of me i cant get it off- who has advice on taking off a stripped bolt
also one of my license plate lights is out and i wanted to replace it with leds- does anyone know of a site that sells leds in the correct size for license plates and dome lights?
last thing- has anyone painted theyre stock rims glossy black? im keeping them on for the winter and was wondering if they would look good black- my rearview mirrors are also fading. what do you guys think about painting them glossy black
if you guys took the time to read this, thanks i appreciate it and chime in if you can help

DTN and I will tell you to get a $10 battery tester to test out the sockets for both the fuses and dome light sockets.

i would respray the mirrors the same color: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm

First off, never modify the vehicle if you do not plan on driving better then the average person. I'm talking about following the rules and keeping your vehicle maintained.

If I were a cop I'd pull you over in a heartbeat. You're a cops dream.
1. white turn signals which should be amber
2. out license plate
3. driving with brights on blinding all other drivers
4. speeding in a non-maintained car
5. License plate secured with ZIP TIES!

Your car draws attention. Don't modify it unless you plan on maintaining it.

I like black rims. I was looking for the picture, but I could not find it. I painted my stockers black before I put these on (for the 2nd time after they were destroyed in Texas).

However, the stockers look like crap when painted black. Unless their paint is falling off/faded, just keep them silver because it will not look like you want them to.

Fix the problems with your car and follow all rules of the road before you do any modification. Mods draw attention to your car because they make it stand out. A cop will follow a modded car just to look at the mods. Then when he finds something to pull you over for, he does.

dtn youre right for the most part but its frustrating to have like 60% of the people in your town with police shields and no front plates and dark tints but theres nothing i can do i guess(zip ties hold the plates on fine by the way a buddy of mine has a euro plate on his gti and keeps the nj plate ziptied while driving and it holds perfect with no rattling and then its easy to take off when its time for car shows)

as far as the rims i guess ill keep them silver

I find it helpful to keep a list of things I want to do to my car. If I notice a problem which I cannot take care of immediately, I will write it down if I can and take care of it when I have a chance.

thats a good idea i just need time to prioritize my wants:
retint my windows
sound system
fix the dent on my fender from my previous owner
cf or black hood
and next summer new rims
