Default Crank shaft sensor???

I am having an issue that needs fixing. I am not sure if its the crank sensor or not, but when the car stalls or won't start all I need to do is play with that wire a fews times and she starts. The male end I fixed. The wires were exposed and about to break off. Crank shaft sensor going bad? This happens about once a week and a lot during the winter. Once its warm out she runs really well. Any ideas?
Thanks. Ben

Cool. Getting to the old crank should be fun. I have the turbo and the shift linkage in the way. Just to make sure the crank is the sensor on the far right on the bottom of the block towards the transmissions?

I ordered a new crank sensor for $32 though Advanced auto parts and will install on my weekend off this week. I shall let all know how it goes.

I got the crank shaft sensor installed on Saturday and wow. That was a pain in the ass to get up in between the turbo and the bottom end. I had to remove all the charge pipping to the turbo and the air filter. But all is well again and the car is starting up a lot better now and no other issues at the moment. =) Thanks!
