cel, no clue what to do

okay i keep pulling this code non stop P0133 Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1, bank 1 •?? slow response Heating inoperative, wiring, HO2S Oxygen sensor (O2S) 1, bank 1 •?? slow response Wiring, O2S

does this mean my o2 sensor is cooked or clogged. cause if its that easy i might as well just get a wideband lol

what are your mods? have you tampered with the sensors, or wiring at all?

if you have, then that's likely the cause. if not, then your sensor may be cooked.

i've had that code, but only when the wiring order was not correct. after i repaired it, it went away.

You probly need a new o2 sensor. Just get a OE style from a parts store and replace it. There's no cleaning the o2 sensor.

well with the headers im pretty sure its cooked. so i think i might aswell just get a wideband while im there changing the front sensor anyway. that is where the wideband goes right. the one before the cat not after?

You still need a narrow band to regulate air/fuel ratio.

Your problem is that you've removed the front catalytic converter.

The fix is to place a spark plug (non)fowler between the 2nd o2 sensor and it's bung. It says the problem is the first sensor, but it's actually the second's readings which are designed to verify the first sensor and the catalyic converter's readings.

Another option is to leave the 2nd o2 sensor to open air, but be careful because that sucker gets HOT!!!

I never understood the nonfowler thing
I ran a header for years without any issues

omeletduefromage 05-29-2010 06:53 PM

no i have a cat. and the second 02 sensor is after it. so if i just have the code from the second o2 sensor then im just gunna clear the code because i just replaced that sensor today after i ripped out the wires going over a speed bump lol. hopefully it goes away for good now

faithofadragon 05-30-2010 12:16 AM

hmm is the nonfowler thing cuz of the no cat thing?

maybe thats why mines different lol mine always had a cat

DTN 05-30-2010 06:47 PM

Mine has a cat, I just only run on the 2nd cali emissions catalytic converter. It was not as efficient as the first though so I had to do the non-fowler thing. Then I bought a "high flow" cat and the same problem happened, it was not as efficient, so I still have a non-fowler on there.

if you want an O2 spacer, i have one FS if you want to try it out. $4 shipped.
