Default any1 w/a hyundai fact. alarm

OK, ever since I painted the interior of my 97 Tiburon Fx, the alarm will not go on! I have the automatic locks, so when I push the alarm set button it just locks the doors. Before that it would beep, and the alarm would set. The thing is the light that is mounted behind the steering wheel stays on (not blinking, but a steady on position). I was wondering if I might have tripped the alarm system. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else, and how they went about the problem. Is there a g-damn reset switch????!!! help me out it has been bothering me for a while now.

if your alarmlight is on and it is not beeping your alarm is stuck in valet mode although I don't have the info off hand to take it out look in your manual or go to www.clifford.com to find the steps to take it out. At the clifford site they will ask for a model number just pick it will be the same procedure to reverse the valet mode on all there alarms.

Ok go to www.clifford.com the go to guides then click on owners guides and then pick an alarm and it will give you an online manual to the alarm you have selected. To exit valet mode put your car in the on position and click the valet switch it should look like a little light switch and then you will be out of valet mode but the problem might be finding the switch it should be somewhere on the drivers side on or around the bottom of the dash. Hope I explained it alittle better this time.

Listen to Jaws, he helped me. Mine was stuck in valet mode too. The switch may be in the fuse panel near the floor on the drivers side. Follow the instructions on the Clifford site and you'll be straight. Good luck! smile.gif

Let me clarify alittle bit.
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position. While it (ignition) is in the on position flick the valet switch to the opposite direction it is in now and it will be out of valet mode.
By me saying select an alarm off the alarm page what I mean by that is all clifford alarms are the same when it comes to putting them in or taking them out of valet mode. Please don't take this last post I'm putting up that I think you or anyone else is dumb but I like to be very specific when it comes to car electronics (or anything else) or I feel I'm not helpful and sometimes the littlest thing left out is the thing that causes the problem or miscommunication. Hopefully my last two post help you out more than my first.
