Default After 1 month idle 2001 accent won't start

I let the battery die in my 2001 Accent while I was working on the fenders (going widebody). Now, it won't start.

I tried jump starting it, but the starter turns over slowly then clicks and quits.
I have used both a fully-charged booster battery and a battery from another car.
Neither have started the car.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like you're still not getting enough juice to it.

Ah, the innocence of ignorance. I am definately the latter.

One would think that having over 30 years driving experience, one would have acquired the knowledge required to overcome these little inconveniences. Alas, in my case this is not the situation.

Thank you, sks187. I followed the advice you provided in your private message to the letter and my vehicle started on the first attempt.

I will allow the battery to charge for a bit, then I will drive to a Sears Service Center and have it serviced.

Thank you, once again, for your kindness and willingness to help.

Sincerely,

tron1
