I never wear my ring to the gym. Or watch, or bracelet. Nor does my wife.

I took mine off when working out and especially when working on cars or doing yardwork. I got a nasty blood blister once from swinging a pick axe with mine on.

*EDIT* - Make sure to put it somewhere safe at home before you leave -- not in your locker/pocket at the gym...

I never wear my ring, watch, or bracelet while at home but I always put it on when I leave, with the exception of going to the gym, lake, or pool.

You guys take them off at the gym so you can get hit on by hot chicks in yoga pants, huh?

If you use any bars with knurled grips, the steel will eventually chew up your ring like sandpaper. Put it on a chain instead, or leave it at home.

I never wore my ring. I won't wear a watch, any jewelry of any kind. It bothers the hell out of me.

I wouldn't wear clothes if it wouldn't terrify small children and put my junk in danger of accidental injury.

^That might explain some things.

If you are doing construction with a ring or watch on, you might want to do a little research into degloving injuries.
