K, guess I'll paste it here then:

I do want to be in this, but I have a question first. If you go with a 10" or 8", will the enclosure not be so deep? Will the box be smaller?

Notice it's covering the spare cover. If you went with a 8"/10" and a shorter box, then maybe it wouldn't cover it.

Visionz Mar 2, 2010 01:36 PM

Jon, because the template is made for one size only, the only difference between the size sub you get is the opening. All the other dimensions will remain the same. The enclosure overlaps just a tiny part of the spare tire cover, so theres no issues at all taking the cover off if you needed to access the spare.

In my mind, it would have to be different. Also look in this pic:

As you can see, there is a hump at the top for the fitment of a 12" sub. A 10" or 8" wouldn't need that hump and would look cleaner. So, would that hump be there too?

Visionz Mar 2, 2010 01:50 PM

I see what you're saying...no...that hump would be gone.

JonGTR Mar 2, 2010 01:53 PM

See, that hump is important to me, so I'd rather step down to a 10" and it not be there. wink.gif

Put me down for a 10".

And definately see what they say about building one for the other side. I know you said it would cost more, but still.......price?

The passenger side would have to be fiberglassed. He told me those usually go for about $250 plus he would need a car for at least 2 days.... and I can't do that lol.

mwood Mar 2, 2010 03:41 PM

put me donw for a 10"

Myron Woodson is real name

Visionz Mar 2, 2010 04:30 PM
