What do you guys have in your garages to keep things cool when working on your car when there's a heat index of almost 100 degrees? No windows so cant put in an a/c unit. Not sure if floor fans will be good enough.

I use a decent size drum fan, moves a lot of air and that's what you want. They have the ones that have misters on them too but they are quite expensive iirc

My garage is half underground so it's a nice cool mid 60's almost all year. The highest I've ever seen it is 81 and that was in intense 100+ degree heat with the door open all day.

+1 for big fan blowing on you. -1 for misting fan due to possibility of slippery floors/cars/tools and potential rust. Sometimes if it's WAY too hot I'll shut the big door and open the door to the house but the wife gets pissed about the electric bill.

get big fans and place frozen bottles of water in front of them

another option is to make a bucket/cooler conditioner (cooler works better expecially if it has a drain valve)

a friend of mine has his powered via a spare car battery and a solar panel trickle charger that way its mobile. battery doesnt make it last forever but at least he can get a lil while of spare juice while hes tryin to sleep when out camping then the solar panel charges it a bit during the day.

has it all in a lil harbor freight cart so its easy to move around. works pretty good

Better idea is 12V powered fan, no inverter required, can use a self-contained battery or a car's battery.

I just open the door to my house and circulate the air with a fan.

I used to have a portable a/c unit. I used a 2x6 board as a spacer under the garage door and cut a hole in it for the exhaust hose off the a/c unit.
