I'm not sure what the paint warranty is on a 1998. Check your owners manual. I'm guessing it is 3 years or 30,000 miles, which means you are SOL....

Even if you're past the warranty, take it in and ask the dealership about it anyway. They may fix it in good will. The paint started to bubble and crack on the spoiler of my '97 Tib maybe six months after it was out from underneath warranty coverage. I took it to the dealer anyway, mainly to ask for some touch-up paint to repair it myself, and they repaired it for me no-charge. All depends on who you talk to, I guess...
But, then again, this WAS Freeman Hyundai in Irving, TX...the same place that Shark got his rare 150 mph Turbulence remap. They apparently LOVE giving freebees out! smile.gif
