Hyundai's new eco-car receives sporty styling
http://www.autonews.com/article/2015...sporty-styling
New renderings of Hyundai's Ioniq sedan released by the company depict sport-coupe-like styling with design flourishes that announce its environmental credentials.
The Ioniq, which debuts next month in South Korea, will be available with three electrified drivetrains: a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric. The renderings show compact packaging, clean lines, a low hood and a raised rear deck. The front end gets an emphasized fog light recess.
To improve fuel economy, the Ioniq has active grille flaps to better channel airflow around the car. The hexagonal grille is topped by gloss-black detailing that flows into the headlights to differentiate the eco-car from the rest of the lineup.
After its South Korean debut, the Ioniq is scheduled to be shown in March at the Geneva and New York auto shows.
I was wondering when Hyundai was going to come out with a hybrid.
