front bumper and side skirts with 17" wheels and 215/40/17 tires sits 2" off the ground on level surface. Plain and simple: YOU WILL SCRAPE!

Read my sticky in the Exterior forum, the warning about Veilside knockoffs

http://tiburon.4t.com/ - simple site with progression pictures. Can't link directly to images, so click the link above. Look at the 3rd set of pictures and see my trying to come out of my driveway. I had to have 23 tons of gravel brought in to level out my driveway so I wouldn't scoop up rock everytime I went down it. I still scrape fairly often because the Expedition is so heavy it pushes gravel around and makes it very unlevel, creating dips and mounds.

Ive bottomed out MANY times before, how many times has my front bumper been in the shop? about 5 times i think goin in a couple weeks again for the 6th.
But its totally worth it, the car just looks to beutiful not to fix it.

hmm ok well i'd like peoples opinion on this: Cuda Kit or Veilside?

i always thought i wanted a veilside body kit (or vader, shogun, whatever), but it seems like thats what is expected on a tiburon a lot of times...i would have already had the kit by now if i didnt see how low it was (i'm not really the person that wants to constantly check for good roads and bumps), but the cuda kit does give the tiburon a whole different look and its higher off the ground...so ya i just dont know right now

btw, how low to the ground is the cuda kit? (SR Cuda Kit)

^^^ I'd only be guessing right now, cause I've never measured it, but 4" or so. It's not bad at all. I have 17" rims with 40 series rubber and it's lowered 1.5". I've onle scrapped once but that was because the area I was trying to get into was a huge incline.

Veilside is a VERY tough kit to have if you live in a crappy area. it's great for like montana. lol
