i noticed my paint flaking off the mirror mounts a while back. never bothered to respray them. then today i noticed there were some flakes coming from it when i rubbed it. it's like they're made of compressed paper! anybody know anything about this?

I did lol, That's why my car is in primer.. well that and the bondo I used on it ;P
FYI, don't wash your car with hand soap. It has chemicals in it that damage clear coat and will make it fade/peel very fast T_T

total clear coat failure from the hood. second the hand/dish soap--not good.
the mirrors though are literally out of paper. you can scratch it off and it'll snow paper flakes!! it's really cheap. ever bend the body and chassis? you can do it freehand. man these cars are cheap as sardine mobiles. something about all the cheapness i love though...
ddddddddude are you going to keep it that way?

I f I were still in the states I would have roller painted it with rustoleum already like my friend did to the mx-3. After moving up here I had no job for a good month. And now I don't have a place to paint it. But I don't plan on leaving it in primer. It will rust very fast.
