RD Chassis Question
Though the RD1 and RD2 chassis are the same, yet different...this question sort of goes out to those of you who have put on body kits and modified the sides of the Tib with scoops.
First question: It's sort of two part...specifically the RD1 Tib, but I'm pretty sure the RD2 has the same setup design for the chassis, but they smoothed out the transition from the hood to the front of the bumper. Ok below, circled, the part of the bumpers that juts out...is the chassis bumper bar right behind it? I'm assuming yes. If not, what's the proximity of the chassis bumper bar to the back of the bumper piece? Last I checked in my Tib, there was a piece of foam between the bumper and the bar, for slow-speed impacts.

Second question...the rear quarter piece that flows with the roof of the Tib...I'm assuming that entire piece is welded directly to the chassis. Or are they part of the entire chassis? I would assume they have the frame of the chassis, and then weld that quarterpanel piece to the frame...but it could also be a tub monocoque chassis design...but I highly doubt it.
Actually, I think the rear chassis bumper bar isn't up against the bumper, but I could be wrong. Someone end my nightmares...this would screw some design concepts I've got going on paper. 02.gif
