Default My neighbor is the biggest idiot ever

He was telling me the other day that he uses old left over oil from his oil changes to shine his tires, after washing the car.

I'll be sure to never drive around him considering his car is probably a serious danger to other motorists after he puts oil all over his tires.

oil is the absolute worst thing to drive on. worst. uncertainty at the edge is the worst feeling.

So long as it's compatible there's no worries. Is polyester compatible with synthetic engine oil?

I've heard conflicting stories here, but engine oil does interact with rubber. Diesel is more effective. I've heard of drifters and people entering into burnout comps soaking their tires in oil, but I can't remember whether it was to harden or soften them. Both sports are based on smoky tires.

Tbh it is a valid point, I spilt engine oil on my rocker cover and it shined nicely for weeks. An oily rag is great for shining plastics. On that note, how stingy is your neighbour? A can of tire shine isn't even two dollars
