These needles?

JAWS 021 08-31-2001 06:30 AM

those needles were a pain in the ass to do,... seriously i dont think it was that much worth it,... i had to open the dashboard up to get it just right,... i still havent even adjusted my MPH,... my default is 20 MPH,... it was hard work,... BY THE WAY,... THE WHOLE NEEDLE DOES NOT GLOW,... IT IS NOT LIKE THE NEEDLES ON THEIR SITE,... it depends and a lot of things,... i was thiking about using a glow in the dark marker and seeing if a BLUE LED can actually bring out its shine,... if anyone knows if LED's do,... let me know you can save me some time,... and if they do ill make sure to take some pics

With the winters in my homeland, undercarriage lighting would be unwise. I already have the washer lights but they are unavailable in red (my color of choice). However, I still want to paint me engine red...the way he did. Now I have spray painted parts before. I am just curious what parts of the tibby engine should be painted. Just the ones Jaws did? Were these parts hard to remove?

Phantom 09-02-2001 04:03 PM

I painted my HOT plate and the cover for the spark plugs red using 500 degree engine paint about 3 weeks ago and it still looks awesome. I'll get some pictures tomarrow of my interior and the engine. I have a red thing going on smile.gif My license plate says "XTCNRED"

Random 09-02-2001 04:06 PM

It's hard to see in those photos everything he painted. I didn't get the other side of his engine. But every cap, but the radiator cap is painted. It sounds horrible, but it looks awesome, and really ties the engine compartment togehter to look nice. Next Time I see hime, I'll get a decent shot of his engine during the DAY!

Jaws, What make of neon did you use?

Raverboy 09-04-2001 02:47 AM

So what site are the blue neon needles sold? oh and jaws, the setting up of the speedometer needles aint so hard. i had the same problem as you when i installed the SR blue on white gauges, what i did was i pushed the needle in but not too tight as to where its free to move without restriction and i wounded it backwards one turn untill it rested on the little needle. that worked for me. hopefully it will work for you
