Ok in Sept my car will go in to paint. I have 3 paints that I want to get it done with.

1) stock rd2 gloss black (what my car is now)
2) stock GK(05) midnite blue
3) black pearl

My car will have ; zefiro turbo kit, Flyride vert doors, sliver rims( still need to pick out what I want) on the outside, and lowered(either springs or coilovers).

What do you guys/gals think I should paint it and do you have any other colors that you think would look nice. It needs to be a dark color tho I dont want to have to paint door sils engine bay ect...

GK midnight blue is a GORGEOUS color

If you are going to be a flyrides car.. it needs to be black.

Should i buy another Rd/RD2 and just mod this one over time or
Should i buy my dads truck(see in pic and he going to give it to me for $1)
and go all out on my RD2....auto-manul; S3 turbo for 2r2r; audio/video system.
(the truck runs great it gets MPG of 35 in town and 40 on highway.) the only problem is minor rust.

Well for $1 Id get te truck for a daily if you want your tib to be all out hp or looks to keep your body kit really nice, the truck can look really nice when done properly like drop, paint, some nicer wheels, and chrome grill

Go with a real nice DEEP RED. That'll look real good.

Honestly, you have nothing to lose with taking the truck.. if you don't like it, you can probably sell it for a couple hundred later.

I love the truck it RWD got a 125k on it but still runs as great as it did from day 1(or so my dad says see as it older then me). Its just gas. I might try to us it as a DD/tib transporter. but ill have to work on it when i get back from iraq.

I love the black pearl... but what about a dark, smokey grey? I think I have seen Nissans with the color. I just love the pearly smokey grey color for some reason. I wouldn't paint my car with it since I love the black, but still.

If anything, black pearl.

ur kit is unique, so get a unique paint job, i'll say go for a blood orange colour. thats just my opinion.

Black pearl..either that or a metallic grey. Two great colors that look beautiful on the car. I might be painting my tib too either rd2 black or a metallic grey..or if I can afford it Ill just find a black rd2 5 speed and switch over. smile.gif Good luck with whatever color you choose man.

Canna di Fucile Metallico...which roughly translates to "Gunmetal Silver"...which happens to be one of the many colors that the F430 (and other Ferraris, such as the F355) come in.

No, you don't have to get Ferrari paint...but you should get close to matching that color...it's just too dead sexy.

I dunno if this is a real color name, but i think it's called 555 Sonic Blue Mica. WRC Subaru WRX color

id say go with black or blue pearl.. as you prob know i am very partial to blue tho..

dont make her a trailer queen cuz then you cant have as much fun.. mines, my whenever i wanna drive her daily car.. lol.. the mood car..

def. swap to manual, go with turbo kit, and spice up the interior a bit..

I like the dark greens and blues personally, so I'd say go with the midnight blue

If you want the magic color...the color that ALWAYS looks mint from the factory...no matter how much mud you've got on the car...you should get silver. Silver is the magic color that hides road dust and sand that sticks to your car from a long drive.

You all got some great throughts. As it looks now ill will go all out with my Tib. Im getting the HoK paint chip books so ill get a better idea on how they look. And if any of you need the chip book you if you want to pay for shipping both ways ill have it send off but you got to send it back.

I faced the same decision myself and went with black pearl w/ a little bit of blue pearl flakes in the mix. (unfortunetly it's barely noticeable).


Silver was my first choice but black is just sexier. Then I though why not get the best of both and go with gunmetal, or a silver gunmetal like artic posted. but black pearl was my final decision.

here's my.02:

if you're on the west coast don't go black (we have too many black tibs over here .....me=latest addition).

otherwise, consider a gunmetal-silver combo or if money os no option find the post of that bluish-metallic gunmetal tib with white rims and smoked taillights! wooo eeee! I have yet to see someone look at that pic and not drool. That color is really nice (plus you would get the added bonus of the "magic" of silver as dirt would not show easily, dust rather.

It's a very light blue metallic color and with the white rims it just looks gorgeous.
