End of year detail checklist

Most of here in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic states will be getting ready to put our wonderful cars into a garage or barn for winter here in about 2 months. So what kind of end of the year checklists do you all have when it comes to doing a final clean up or detail?

Man it's just barely breaking into the '60s at night here. Summer tires will do all year round. End of year nothing, just keep driving.

:D

I prepare by turning off the A/C, rolling down the windows, and opening the sunroof.

I have about a month before I put the Genesis away. Usually mid to end October, since we've actually gotten snow on Halloween with salt trucks in the past.

My end of season checklist:

  • Wash
  • Strip old wax and polish
  • Clay
  • Dry
  • 1 coat polish
  • 1 coat sealer
  • 2 coats of wax
  • Clean wheels
  • Tire dressing
  • Vacuum interior
  • Dress interior
  • Pull sub and amp out of trunk
  • Pull tablet out of dash
  • Oil change with full synthetic
  • Check anti-freeze (change if needed)
  • Make sure gas tank is filled to the top and pour in gas treatment and water remover (let run for a few minutes after)
  • Pull car in garage and park on top of 3" thick insulated carpeted mat
  • Make sure doors are unlocked
  • Disconnect and pull battery
  • Apply microfiber breathable cover
  • Give car a kiss and say see ya in 5-6 months

^ How long does that take you to do all that? Seems like a lot but I understand why somebody would go through all that work.

Only like 3-4 hours. I generally do it on a Sunday afternoon.
