How did some of you fasten your side skirts on the part that comes up by the back of the door? I'm not going to be molding them, or at least not now. So I was thinking of going to a bodyshop or something and getting some snap fasteners, kind of like the ones that hold on the stock skirts.
What do you think. I don't really want to drill a hole and put a screw there because it will be visible! Any ideas or suggestions!! |
i have a cuda kit but not on yet...i'm just gonna fasten it in the rear tire well with screws and if necessary some 3m double sided tape
|
Ya, that's what I did. I put a screw in the back near the top in the fender well, but it still sticks out from the body along the side. I'm not sure that 3M tape would hold it very well. That is what I originaly was going to use but after seeing how they fit I'm skeptical to say it may not work with 3M! I don't think it would be strong enough, that's why I'm leaning towards the body clips.
I dunno, anyone else care to share! |
 I refuse to have 3M tape have anything to do with my body kit! blah!
|
mine fit real well.... not a prob at all.... sorry man... i mean it sticks out somewhat but thats life.. do not use 2sided tape nor a screw.. "f" up your car?? what happens if you change skirts???
|
3M tape is fine, learn to clean it off..
Or marine glue (silicone works) |
I think I an going to go with the marine silicone. Just don't think that 3m will do the trick. They stick out far enough that you need to do something about it! Definately am not going to use a screw!!!
Hey Superman you find out about any of those original Cuda emblems? |
What original cuda emblems? The ones that came with the kit?
|
Yeah the ones that SR was supposed to supply with the kits, but for some reason a lot of people were shorted orders etc...
|
I got Cuda sides with my kit and I had to have them molded because they didn't fit right at all.
