Default Re: How do you change gear Oil?

Okay, so awhile ago, a buncha birds flew over my car, and they crapped on the right fender. it was pretty nasty. After they shat on my car, i didn't wash it for awhile. I finally washed it today, and there's still remanents of bird shat left. it doesn't look like white bird crap now, it looks more like dried up gum. i tired using goo gone, and turtle wax: scratch and swirl remover....neither worked. does anybody have any suggestions???

how long is "awhile"? I live along the ocean and there is NOTHING nastier or more caustic that seagull poop.. especially since it usually has hard bits of undigested stuff in it. I have never had a problem getting it off of the paint.. even after being allowed to dry to the consistancy of old cement.

perhaps get one of those green scrubby pads and GENTLY scrape it off. after that, buff the living hell out of it with some wax.

I know that you said you used that goo gone stuff. But have you tried that bug and tar remover stuff? I never have had a problem with getting bird crap off (on my first car ford focus hated it too) even with not washing it for months.

the poop probably wrecked your paint a bit already. It's not a good idea to let it sit on your car longer than it has to.

Try using a cut polish or rubbing compound. Do it by hand and test it.

One time after i came back from vacation for a month i had found birdcrap on my car. I washed the car and now there are marks of where the bird poo was located. I heard it oxidies your paint. Mine look pretty much like theres n
othing you can do.
I've tried using M3 rubbing compound before and it pretty much scratched up my car. And my car is black and is pretty noticable. Im not sure if it was just my experience or if i had a old rubbing compound.
