Well, not power, but have you put in a SS yet? My B&M was my first mod, and I recommend it to anyone. As for power giving cheaper mods? Hmm... I'd go for the Cam upgrade.

how hard is it to install the ss? whats the differance between yours and the sr one?
The B&M was VERY easy to install. All you have to do is take off your shift knob, take off the shifter surrounder (Just pull up). Inside there is one bolt and clip. Just have to be carefull you put the spacers on the same way as you took them off. Takes about 15 minutes.how hard is it to install the ss? whats the differance between yours and the sr one?
The SR one is very nice, has a shorter throw (So I'm told), and is shorter in height, but...
You have to dismantle the entire center console, take out the baseplate, and hack the hell out of it for it to work. Ask around. PITA. Takes a few hours and a dremel or rotory cutter.

Do a search. You'll find plenty of options.

I've installed the B&M in KayJai and Neo_Tib vechicles and found that it was easy to install and not modifiaction to the base plate. The B&M is nice but I found that the throws are not that short.
I have the Shark Racing SS and found that the throws are really short and you can adjust the shirter height. But then there's the cutting and the grinding of the base plate.
This is what you have to do to your base plate to make the SR fit.

who carries the b&m ss?
Uhm...who carries the b&m ss?
Summit Racing, Napa, lots of places. Basicly, just call around to your local auto stores, ask them if they can order parts from B&M. When they say yes, tell them you want a price quote on B&M part # (Here's the deal. Pull up your shifter surround and see what color your base plate is. If it's black [most are] the part # is 45115, if it's white, the part # is 45119). Find out who can get it for you cheapest and order the sucker.
I asked around and O'Riley Auto Parts got it for me for $118, a few others wanted up to $150 for it.
