hey i was just curious what the idil motor is..someone suggested that might be whats wrong with my car...how expensive to replace

 

On the beta1
The Idle air bypass motor is the cylinder connected to the intake elbow and the back of the Intake manifold. Should be about 3" around, and about 5" long.

On the Beta2
The Idle Air Bypass motor is the black plastic device attached to the forward side of the intake manifold near the throttle body. It's about 3" by 3" by 2"

They rarely go bad, usually it's the wiring to them that goes bad.

They are $153 new from www.stcharlesauto.com, but I've got a spare from a beta1 that I can sell ya cheaper.

 

i have a beta 2( i think thats whats on teh 2k1 tibby, how do u check for bad wires people think this is whats wrong with my idel

 

for a 2001 Tibby, you have a beta1.

Did you ever figure out your nitrous problem

 

lol i still dont have the nitrous going yet...this is after the nitrous thing...i figure im gunna get the car running right again before i fiddle iwth the nitrous

i have no clue whats wrong with that
