Well guess what.. my engine bit the dust... omgwtfbbq??? Damn you Jaws, your curse rubbed off onto me. But I wasn't even running any type of forced induction.

If any of you had read before, I posted about my car having some clutch issues... one of the problems being that when I would come to a stop pressing in the clutch and taking it out of gear it would die...
Well, shortly after writing that post, my engine started to make alot of clicking coming from the valves. I know our engines are known to have loud lifters/valves, so I didn't think too much of it... until it started to get *Really* loud and obnoxious. So to the dealership and into the capable hands of HyundaFixer (AJ).

He replaced the lifters, issue was still there. Looks like there was some metal flakes in the engine. One or more of the valves has fused because of improper lubrication. Now, I've run Mobil 1, 10w30 fully synthetic and a Purilator Pure One oil filter ever since I bought my car. (Switched to synthetic after 1000 miles.) Well AJ believes that the oil filter was restricting oil flow (????) so it caused the oil pump to give up and not send enough oil to the top of the motor which caused valves to seize. So now because of this happening, at 65,000 miles, I'm getting a whole new motor for my car, replaced under the 100,000 drivetrain warranty. (Which actually is kind of nice... whole new motor to break.. muhaha - turbo anyone???)

Well, the clutch issues will be looked at later, and my A/C is getting serviced under warranty also! (yay!) Cause it's leaking. (I haven't had A/C for about 8 months.)

I'll let you guys know if there are anymore updates.

The thing is Jaws' tend to break without warning for odd reasons. lol.gif

Heh... if I find a good dealer, I might just accidently "break" my motor before my 5yr/60k goes up... wink1.gif
