Iridiums are such a waste of cash.

Copper are 10 times cheaper and you might have to replace them 2x as often.

^^ yeah, or go with dilythium crystal. It's supposed to be the best power-core material availble. lmao.gif

most plugs for our vehicles come pre-gapped. You just changed the plugs. why is it almost time to change them again?

if its not the plugs, try check to see if ur o2 sensors and maf is koo. My bros 240 was spluttering and spitting out black smoke as well. Just a possibility.

Order I'd do it in:

Pull plugs and check that they are gapped if they aren't pre-gapped
Plug Wires

It could be MAF/TPS but those are sensors that can get a bit expensive so best to do the other stuff first.

Did you drop the plugs??......or have them somewhere where they would get rough treatment?? I had a bad miss under acceleration due to a cracked insulator in my '72 Falcon Coupe.

Like alot of people have said so far, check your Wires and Plugs.

definately go with iridium plugs...my tech said that many imports don't take well to platinum plugs for some reason.

Flashing CEL means misfire. Pull a plug out and check out if it's fouled up. And don't use Bosch. Bosch is crap. Their plugs are terrible, only use the wires. Check your PCV Valve, air filter, plugs, wires, Fuel filter, MAYBE TB.
