Default Upper Radiator Hose Leaking.. question.

The guys at teh dealer put in the wrong hose clamps.. they use the ones where you screw it in besides the black ones the Hyundai comes with.. now the hose clamps riipped the hose and coolant is leaking.

question.. I want to take the upper hose off.. how much coolant will come out? I don't want to get charged 50$ by the owner of the trailer park

You shouldn't loose much out of the top hose, just put a container under the car to catch what comes out wink1.gif

^^ Agreed. Just get a container to put under there to catch the little bit that will come out. It won't be like a firehose LOL.

Ditto
And trailer park charges? You are serious,... wow.

Anyway, the spring clamps that are OEM deteriorate over time and lose their "springness" The ones with the screw type like on CAIs are better, well IF they used a decent one, if they just used some crapazz stuff, then yea,... it's bound to fail
