Hey guys. I have purchased a set of power pulleys and an underdrive pulley. Now here is my question. The two pulleys seem simple enough but how the hell do you get the underdrive pulley off??? Half of it is covered up by the frame. Any help would be great!

Hey well that pretty much sums it up. Nig help, Thanks!
I will be putting it on this weekend and then I will let everyone know how it feels! |
yea.. it's just that easy... however.. if you car is due for a timing belt.. now is the time to do it.. you have more than 3/4 of the work done
|
how often does a timing belt need to be replaced? and if its old/cracked/loose, will it missfire? im sorry for asking so many questions. im new here, its so awesome how you guys are so willing to help each other! smile.gif

The service specs in your vehicle hand book will tell you when it is due. The engine will run fine until the belt breaks or strips its teath. If you wait till it gives out you will be sorry! It's not a good thing to have the cams stop and the crank keep going.
My book says every 90,000km. |
it should say in your owners manual when the scheduled replacement is, but i beleive its every 60 K miles, but you can go up to 100k if you dont beat on your car too much,
Im about due for a Timing belt, im at around 70k. Hey drafter nice site, good DIY on the pulleys, and the TB warmer hoses. |
i just had all my belts replaced like 2 months ago. i hope im in the clear smile.gif

Not my site, it belongs to Mike Robinson aka MIKELANTRA2323 on Hp.com. I don't think that he will mind us posting it over here. I plan on replacing all of my belts when I put in my crank pulley. Just a preventative measure. I also have about 60000 miles on my car.
