Hi,

I have been reading this forum alot for the past couple of weeks looking into getting a trany swap from auto to manual.
However i recantly thought about doing a swap from automatic to the new auto with shiftronic mode.
I have a first gen 99 tiburon. Isthis something that can be done?
now i have read that when doing the trany swap from manual to manual from beta II that some fabrication is involved, is this the same case with the beta II auto trany?
if that the case if I would swap a beta II engine would this process go alot smoother??

Now I know shiftronic has some limitation and will upshift and downshift for you in some cases so it's totaly not a replacement to the manual trany.
Then again its a bridge between two worlds.

What you think? is this worth it?

I definitely wanted to do this, but there's a lot more involved, and it doesn't fully fit right in the RD series, so we're out of luck. Same deal with the 6-speed transmission, it won't fit ours either.
Of course, with lots of time and money anything's possible, but this isn't really feasible.
