Thought you were all interested in this.

Tiburon/Elantra M5BF2 MTX 02+

1 - Double Cone Syncronizer
2 - Double Cone Syncronizer
3 - Non-key type Single cone Sync
4 - Non-key type Single cone Sync
5 - key type single cone sync
reverse - key type single cone sync

These better syncros alone would be a good reason to upgrade.

I'm confused, these are the synchros for each gear??

I thought there was only one. Man, I'm so NEWBIE today.

nope.. each gear has it own... Now Shaddohh.. thanks to your information people are going to be interested in what syncros our cars have. Care to pull up the info and post it?

Exactly, we ARE interested in what the earlier Tiburons have. Are the newer transmissions interchangeable with the older ones? If so, it would be worth doing if a new transmission was ever needed.

97/98 T/E

1 - Single Cone Syncronizer
2 - Single Cone Syncronizer
3 - Single Cone Syncronizer
4 - Non-key type Single cone Sync
5 - key type single cone sync
reverse - no sync

99+ T/E

1 - Double Cone Syncronizer
2 - Single Cone Syncronizer
3 - Single Cone Syncronizer
4 - Non-key type Single cone Sync
5 - key type single cone sync
reverse - key type single cone sync

Synchros I don't know very well... whats the best type? LOL... I knew there were a few different types, don't know the diff between em.
