Torque Converter
Alright the wheels are in play...today I got my car into the shop and had the torque converter ripped out and sent to LevelTen.com, UNFORTUNATELY when I got the TQ to the post office, they could not do Next Day Air...which means itll be Thursday-Friday that I actually get it, now the only way that I can even get my car back before MONDAY is to have it reach LevelTen.com by Thursday and they send it the same day (agh) AND THENNN! the shop has to decide they want to put it on the same day they get it...due to the fact on Saturday, is the final import race day in Alaska...but unfortunately i jush figured out that I wont be able to get any Dyno before/afters, only afters...and my times from the track. But anyway...the benefits said by LevelTen.com are 1/2-1 second off 1/4mile.
well ok i can give you two prices, alright from a guy that is known all around for his 7 second car...at least all around here...he was going to charge me 299-310$ for all labor work. And he said it would take him about 4 hours...but then i called him, booked sad.gif So i called around to other reputable shops, only one that could take me, 420+ and it takes them around 8 hours! so i got pretty jipped...and 460 for the tq...so around 880-900..damn i wish i was a mechanic...
Unfortunately itll be my first time at the track with my car after i put in the TQ...so i wont have any before and after I was going to however TWO weeks ago (thanks to the US Postal Service) i didnt get my car back in time...
I'll be telling ya all how it feels when i get it wink I called LevelTen today...they said it didnt come in, but hey as long as its UPS...im expecting since theres such a time diff between Alaska...Toronot...and New Jersey...ill give it a little leeway.
