Yup, bought it off a fellow on rdtiburon.com. pretty cheap. well it came in only a few days and i knew i was going to have to mod the holes to fit. well that is what i ended up doing. the elantra one doesnt have the hose fitment that goes to the valve cover so i threw on a little red filter. I assumed that was better than capping it off. what was nice was i didnt have to port my IM, the gasket is the exact size of the plenum hole(of course), which happened to match perfectly with the elantra TB. it definitely has a noticeable pickup in the higher rpms...

I've thought about doing that since my BBTB sucked.

anyone know which version of the beta tb would fit a 1.6l alpha with this easy mod?

i will say easy with "crafting" experience. it only fit because i made it fit. i centered it up and went at it. i'm sure you could do the same mod with the same TB but don't quote me. |
well i was planning on make one hole fit w/o doing anything to it and then expand the rest till they fit and i was going to use washers if the holes got to big from dremeling.

It'll be harder (maybe impossible) to bore out the gasket and intake manifold throat to match the TB opening if it's offset.

+1 Bore them all out with the TB centered. |
ok after posting i was thinking about what i said and thought that the openings wouldn't match up like that so ill probably stick a pipe into the im and then insert it into the tb and use marker to get a rough idea where i need to cut.

Last weekend I was going to put in a short Air ram filter like you have, but noticed I'd need more room. So curious if you moved your battery to the back of the car? |

You should be able to make any with provisions for the ISA in the TB work. The one like above will not work because there's no ISA. |
