Default Throttle Bodies

I'm thinking of installing a new throttle body.I measured mine and if i'm not wrong it's 63mm??? wide. The ones that sharkracing has are 61' the bigest? What's going on?
What's the difference with the Barney Throttle bodies.Should i make any modification to them? The TPS?

I just think you are measuring the the throttle bodie in the wrong place. You can't measure it right at the opening, it has to be measured where the butterfly is.

So the 61mm that Sharkracing says is the opening of the butterfly? That goldy thing?

Yes the "goldy" thing is the butterfly valve that actually lets air into you engine. The measurement at that point in the throttle body is the important one. The butterfly is nothing more than a flap.

I am also curious about the difference between the barney TB and the other ones that SR offers. What is the best one to go with taking into consideration money vs. performance. THanks.

From SR
Shark Racing Throttle Body
Available for 1996~2001 Tiburon and 1996~2002 Elantra.
Manufactured at 58mm, not bored out to 58mm.
Includes cruise control armature.
Includes TPS sensor for easy installation.
Barney Throttle Body:
55mm~58mm adjustable model for 1.5 liter Accents.
59mm~61mm adjustable model for 1.8 liter and 2.0 liter Tiburons and Elantras.

So from that the barney is adjustable the regular BBTB is not. Also from what i remember the barney does not come with a new TPS or a cruse control armature. However i slightly remember hearing a splurp that the new barneys do have the cruse arm but i am not 100% sure on that.

I found out that the thorttle body of the 1.6lt is exactly the same as the 2.0lt(54mm).
Now for the Barney Throttle Bodies that SharkRacing has how can i found out the way i'm going to install it?Has anyone tried them?Does it worth it's money or it's better the other with the 58mm?
Please guys help me out... wink wink
