http://i4.tinypic.com/35anes7.jpg http://i8.tinypic.com/4cmzg9w.jpg the numbers on it are 9 080 930 228e and 95440 - 28329 and from what i can tell from a quick google (only korean sites) i think it's for the tranny.... but i bought this on ebay, is this a 98 elantra ecu, or what? i dont want to email the seller if i'm at fault. |
It's the tranny computer.
Trust me, I've seen enough of these now to know that. If his auction said "ECU", then he's in the wrong. It's not anything to do with the engine, it's for the tranny. |
ok, thanks alot redz. i paid through paypal, so if he's not willing to do anything i get to try myhand at a refund...
*edit* damn, no arguments at all from the seller! not only did they refund ALL of the money (shipping included- for a total of $33) they told me to keep it lol. |
free stuff ftw?
|
probably does not work...thats why they let him keep it
|
Uhm, no. They let him keep it because it was the wrong part and shipping it back would lose them more money.
|
i ordered a 1.8 ecu off of car-part.com once and got the same damn thing. so either there's a misprinted part number in the manual that they all use, or they're just idiots.
|
It's the latter.
The Transmission Computer is easy to get to, so they assume that is it. |
No I made that mistake once, I sold someone an ECU but accidentally sent them the tranny computer. It happens, at least they admitted fault.

thats exactly what they said..for what it would cost to ship it back, they couldnt sell it for that. but if anyone needs it, just cover the shipping and it's yours.... |
