Default TB Adjustments

Hi, everybody. I was going to look into getting an elantra or tiburon TB for my accent today, and was just wondering how exactly I would adjust my throttle cable length and idle to get it to work right. Don't worry, I'm not going to set the idle to 3000rpm, I just want to set it so that it idles as it did with the stock TB. Any other information is welcome from others who have done this. Thanks.

The Elantras have a screw body that the cable travels through at the throttle body that can be adjusted in or out as needed for cable tension. It's like what you would find on a bicycle brake, The Accent should have the same sort of device. I hope this helps you. wink

You should be able to adjust it just like you adjust your stock setup now.

The cable itself is adjustable via the 2 nuts that hold it to the intake manifold, and the TB itself is adjustable via the idle set screw.

Thank you! Now that I know how to do it, I just have to find a TB.
